CoDiC Communications has moved toward commercial domains such as Maya, 3D Max, and AutoCAD with SEDRIS. They are developing a converter between Maya and Mobile via STF.

CoDiC has also proposed a New Work Item Proposal to ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 24 that addresses easy access to the SEDRIS API and generation of SEDRIS transmittals to facilitate SEDRIS use in the commercial sector, thereby further extending the SEDRIS community.
