Specular Colour

Class Name: Specular Colour

This DRM class is concrete and has no subclasses.

Definition

The specular reflectance component of a <Primitive Colour>, which causes a "highlight" effect on smooth surfaces when they're illuminated, due to light reflected from the illuminated surface. The colour of this component of the lighting equation depends largely on the colour of the light source.

What is the <Colour Shininess> component used for?

<Colour Shininess> acts as an exponent in the lighting equation to determine how shiny the colour appears depending on the angle between the lines to the observer and the light source.
