SEDRIS™ Technology Conference 2004
Plenary Session

"If you've looked at how Farid [Mamaghani] put this [Plenary] together, these four talks really build on each other.

First we start with the joint view [JFCOM], and notice how the speaker brought out the fact that we needed to have standards.

Then we went over to the Department of Commerce and NIST, and how all that feeds in, and what they're looking at in standards.

Then Colonel Stone comes on and gives the Army perspective of how we need a common environment, and what the Army's doing to get to that point.

And finally now we're going to go down to the program level. As he said, FCS is "a" program in the Army. And it's the first one kind of out-of-the-box to try to get their arms around things like common services within a program, and one of those common services being the environment."
