The Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) Simulation Center SEDRIS efforts
center on the construction of the Synthetic Environment Evaluation - Inspection
Tool (SEE-IT), an analysis utility that can consume SEDRIS transmittal
files and locate user-specified geometric conditions within the data. Typical
conditions of interest include vertical or horizontal tears in the terrain
skin, road networks that fail to connect, and unintended feature intersections.
The SEE-IT software is being used to locate error conditions in the environmental
data to be used by the JSIMS program.
