The SEDRIS Data Representation Model
APPENDIX B - Constraints
Attribute Set Table Size

Definition

All the <Attribute Set Table> components of an <Attribute Set Table Group> shall be of the same size; that is, all <Attribute Set Table> components of an <Attribute Set Table Group> instance shall contain the same number of <Attribute Set> components. However, <Attribute Set Table> instances within an <Attribute Set Table Group> are free to have different attribute objects from each other.

Rationale

This is a requirement in order to allow the <Attribute Set Table> instances within an <Attribute Set Table Group> to be interchangeable.

Example

  1. An <Attribute Set Table Group> contains three <Attribute Set Table> components: one for an Out-The-Window view, one for a RADAR view, and one for an Infra-Red view. All three <Attribute Set Table> instances contain 234 <Attribute Set> instances. Entry 234 in each <Attribute Set Table> contains an <Attribute Set> for the representation of "steel" in the three different domains.
