Tutorial Description
Overview and Applications of AcuSoft’s Side-by-Side Viewer
Use The Side-by-Side Viewer to Visually Examine SEDRIS Transmittals
Basic Knowledge of Windows? Applications
Managers or Developers Interested in Using SEDRIS Databases
Notes:
This tutorial will demonstrate how the Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer supports the viewing of multiple environmental databases, to visually compare their terrain elements, and identify discrepancies. Discussion will include: (1) the functionality and operation of the Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer, (2) how to prepare SEDRIS STF databases for the Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer, (3) the process to identify differences between multiple versions of the same transmittals, (4) how to use the Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer Plug-in API to extend the Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer functionality, and (5) a demonstration of the database conversion plug-in with sample STF databases.
Environmental modelers and software engineers interested in the interpretation of environmental data using SEDRIS-based tools and utilities, those who intend to design and implement other SEDRIS-based conversion applications, tools, or utilities to operate on SEDRIS transmittals, or anyone who is interested in learning how to use the Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer.
At completion, the attendee should have an understanding of the Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer, how it is used to identify discrepancies, and what additional functionality future Side-by-Side Terrain Viewer Plug-ins will bring.
