The 2D Viewer Map Display
When an STF is Loaded, the SBS Attempts to Determine the Spatial Organization
- Not all databases are spatially organized.
- If the SBS fails to determine the organization, there will be no map display.
- However, all other functionality will remain.
After Loading, the Map Display Will Show a Blank Grid of the Entire Database.
The Grid Represents the Terrain Tiles in the Database.
Notes:
Using the 2D Viewer Map Display
When an STF is loaded, the SBS attempts to determine the spatial organization. In order to create the map display, the Side-by-Side must know the size of terrain tiles, the number of rows, and the number of columns. While we at AcuSoft strive to support all SEDRIS transmittal organizations, our work in this area is on-going due to the diversity of SEDRIS transmittals.
After loading an STF, if you receive the message The Side-by-Side was unable to determine the Transmittal Organization this could be due to one of the following reasons:
- The database is not spatially organized.
- The Side-by-Side was unable to determine the spatial organization.
If you believe the reason for the message is the second option, send us the transmittal and we will do our best to add support for that organization. Even if the SBS is unable to determine the organization, the SEDRIS Browser and 3D Viewer will still function normally for the transmittal.
After loading, the map display will show a blank grid of the entire database.
The grid represents the terrain tiles in the database.
