Why is Auxiliary Data Useful?
The SBS will function the same, with or without the auxiliary data. The speed increase with the auxiliary could be dramatic for certain type of database. It also makes the real-time visualization possible.
AcuSoft plans to provide auxiliary data of public domain databases with SBS Viewer.
The Import process can use the Auxiliary data if it exists.
Notes:
Why is SBS Auxiliary Data Useful?
The SBS will function the same with or without the Auxiliary Data. But the speed increase with the Auxiliary Data could be dramatic for certain type of databases. For example, certain source data need a lot of processing in order to be visualized correctly with OpenGL Z-buffer graphics cards, such as those databases designed for fixed-priority IG like E&S. The processing time required to perform all the conversion makes interactive sessions difficult.
The Side-by-Side Viewer is a tool designed not to rely on SBS Auxiliary Data for any functionality improvements, but to simply make use of the data when it is available. The direct manifestation of that availability is speed.
By obtaining AcuSofts Auxiliary Data, real-time visualization is made possible. Examining an entire SEDRIS transmittal, depending on its complexity, can be a time consuming process. Converting the 3D and 2D of each tile one-by-one could take minutes, hours or even days. However, with the use of Auxiliary Data, youll be able to load the transmittal and immediately begin flying across the entire database.
The Auxiliary data loader supports real-time database paging to support large databases.
