Fundamental Concepts of EDCS
The fundamental concepts of EDCS, the Standard, and EDCS, the Current Implementation, are exactly the same.
Many details differ in the current implementation, since refinements, corrections, and better separations of the ideas have emerged while developing the standard.
These changes have important effects and impacts on systems currently using the EDCS (as implemented).
As changes from the standard are incorporated into the current implementation a clear understanding of the differences between "what is" and "what will be" is critical to users of the EDCS implementation.
