Another “context” example: “Little John was looking for his toy box. Finally, he found it. The box was in the pen. John was very happy”
How much context is needed to figure out how boxes can be in pens?!
And we haven’t even dealt with “poetry” translation (i.e., “well-crafted” environmental databases)!
Similar to natural languages (but to lesser degree), context, and understanding of the context, is one of the key elements in any translation (database conversion).
