- One pass each 500 meters
- 900Km x 900Km database
- Vehicle speed is ‘S’ KMPH
- Time required to traverse the database:
(1,800 passes * 900Km / pass) / “S” KMPH
SEE-IT: Required 45 minutes to examine the entire 810,000Km2 database (about 2.5 million polygons plus numerous non-polygonal features inspected)
(Using multiple vehicles reduces time requirements linearly, but many other problems remain….)
