Defining a CanonicalLocal Tangent Plane SRF
• A local tangent plane is defined at the point p
• Orthogonal X-Y axes are defined at p, and the normal to the local surface is used to define the Z-axis
• The resulting rectangular system is called a Local Tangent Plane (LTP) coordinate system
• If the surface is an ORS, and the Y-axis is defined to point to true north (the pole), the resulting system is a Canonical LTP (CLTP) spatial reference frame
• A linear vector space can be associated with a CLTP
