Description: In October 1999, SEDRIS began the process of establishing international standards through the combined International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). This tutorial provides an overview of the international standardization process, and includes a detailed description of the standards currently under development, and the current status of SEDRIS standardization.
Who should attend: Anyone who is interested in gaining a better appreciation of the international standardization process, the implications of SEDRIS standardization, or anyone new to SEDRIS. Project managers, policy and decision makers, systems engineers, and technology managers who are impacted by environmental data should attend.
