Future M&S-C4ISR Interoperability Experiments
SEDRIS-JMTK II – using M&S database content in C4ISR systems
- Update STF terrain elevation data extraction to 3.1
- Extract STF features – output as ESRI Shape files, or perhaps as VPF
- Test with transmittals created by DTED-to-STF, VPF-to-STF, Prologic’s ArcGIS STF export tool, etc., and also Warsim, OTB, CCTT transmittals
- Measure performance, file sizes, etc.
- Import data into JMTK; compare visualization and terrain analysis results
SEDRIS-CTIS/DTSS – using M&S database content to perform IPB functions
- Army’s Combat Terrain Information System/Digital Topographic Support System is used to create and update maps & map overlays in the field
- Import data into CTIS/DTSS; compare IPB results
SEDRIS-C/JMTK – using M&S database content in GIS systems
- NIMA’s Commercial JMTK project began in July 2002
- Contractor team consists of Northrop Grumman IT/TASC (prime), ESRI, ERDAS, Analytical Graphics Inc., and Great Circle Technology
- C/JMTK will be based on ESRI’s ArcGIS architecture
- C/JMTK is scheduled to be deployed as part of COE 5.0 (FY04)
- Import data into C/JMTK; compare visualization and terrain analysis results
