Capturing JVB Environmental Data Requirements
JVB Team will use the following process to define it’s environmental requirements:
- Identifying the environmental data needs of all the federates/applications that are part of the JVB
- Terrain (elevation data, feature/attributes)
- Air, ocean and space data
- Using the Synthetic Environment Data Representation Interchange Specification (SEDRIS) Environmental Data Coding Specification (EDCS: ISO/IEC 18025) to capture data requirements into a JVB environmental data model
- Gathering previously built environmental data bases for areas of interest
- Consulting with EDB community experts on approach being pursued for EDB generation
