California Bathymetry
The Oceanside project area, delineated in red and labeled “AOI 2”, included data provided on 25, 50 and 200 meter grids.
The California Department of Fish and Game has used diverse sources to compile digital bathymetric models off the California coast covering the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) (two hundred miles off-shore) and more. Depending on the source data and other factors, over six million point soundings have been interpolated to generate 5, 25, 50, 100 and 200 meter gridded data as shown in this graphic.
