The IMPACT federate:
- A DTRA HLA compliant simulation incorporating state-of-the-art physics based models
- Provides real-time, high fidelity CB dispersion modeling
- Provides CB sensor and ground truth information to other HLA federates (e.g., JSAF) for use in force degradation
- Capable of providing internal weather or using “federation” weather from another HLA federate (e.g., OASES.)
The WALTS federate:
- A DTRA HLA compliant simulation providing credible physics-based weapons effects for virtual targets
- Key software components include munitions definitions, physics engine calculations and tools for integrating Chemical/Biological (CB) into targets
- Provides CB agent release information for use by dispersion models such as IMPACT
- Capable of using weapon fly-outs from other HLA federates (e.g., JSAF.)
