Feature Faces
Feature Face – a two-dimensional spatial entity that defines a closed area in 2D or 3D space
The geometric shape of a face is defined by:
- An ordered collection of one or more edges that bound the face
- The 3D coordinates that define a face are not necessarily coplanar
A face is bounded by one or more collections of edges, defining its outer boundary and zero or more inner boundaries
- A face may contain zero or more “holes”, each defined by an ordered collection of one or more edges
A face may not intersect or overlap itself, or any other faces
Two or more faces may meet only along one or more common edges
