Edge-Face Relationships
In 3D topology, each edge is associated with a collection of zero or more bordered faces, ordered counterclockwise relative to the edge, starting with an arbitrary face
Each face is associated with one or more ordered collections of edges (i.e., rings), one external ring, and zero or more internal rings
- Each ring is made up of one or more edges (Except for the external ring of the universal face, which is empty)
- In full 2D topology, the universal face extends to infinity and all other faces are contained within internal rings of the universal face
