Object IDs
- Persistently referring to objects in a transmittal
- Used:
- To specify starting points for applications
- To specify results from applications
- Used to retrieve sections of transmittals
- Communicate between applications
- STF Implementation
- Based on transmittal URN name, File Index, Block Index, and Object Index
- If no URN name has been assigned to the transmittal, then the Object ID will not be unique across transmittals

- Transmittal must be open already
- Must know what transmittal an ID is in
