Specific examples of conditionsfrom SEE-IT CTDB Spiral 3 analysis
- Databases often contain topological holes or other problems that visual
inspection does not (or can not) reveal.
-
- Some of the problems can be seen using the JSAF cross section tool (steep polygons, for instance). Other problems confuse even the JSAF cross section tool (often a spike is shown by this tool when trying to create a cross section across a topological hole, even though a spike does not really exist).
-
- Problems that cannot be identified or are incorrectly described using JSAF
are particularly troublesome and irritating.
- SEE-IT is able to quickly and accurately locate all problems of interest.
- The following 3 slides show examples of specific problems located using
SEE-IT. Correlated snapshots from SEE-IT, JSAF PVD, JSAF cross
section tool, and/or out-the-window views are shown.
