Example: Vancouver_2002 Cont’d
The ORM RDS
- A line RD - the W-axis
- A plane RD - the UV-plane
- A plane RD - the UW-plane
- A point RD - the Origin
The ORM RDS binding
- Bind the W-axis to the axis of the sphere RD model.
- Bind the UV-plane the equator of the sphere RD model.
- Bind the UW-plane to the plane which contains the sphere RD axis and the Vancouver spot.
- Bind the Origin to the intersection of the W-axis and the UV-plane.
Be sure to record the epoch of the binding.
This ORM implies an embedding of R3:
- (0, 0, 0) is at the Origin,
- X-axis coincides with the UV-plane & UW-plane intersection,
- Z-axis coincides with the W-axis,
- Y-axis selected to form a right handed orthonormal axis.
