Reference Datum Set
Reference Datum Set (RDS): set of one or more RDs and one or more relationship specifications.
- A relationship specification is a mathematical statement that defines a relationship between two or more RDs in the set.
- Each RD in an RDS is called a member of the RDS.

RDS Class: a template which, when values of the parameters are assigned, defines a specific RDS Class Instance.
A RDS Class specification includes:
- a unique name within the set of all RDS Classes,
- a set of zero or more possibly parameterised RD definitions comprising the members of RDS, and
- a set of zero or more possibly parameterised relationship specifications for the specified RDS.
Note: The same RDS Class may be defined in different ways,all of which specify the same abstract concept.
