Example: DRM to CTDB Mapping

• CTDB: Volume Models (buildings, obstacles)

  • Stored in CTDB as a set of 3D vertices representing the roofline of the volume.
  • SAF “drops down” walls to the terrain for each pair of vertices.
  • CTDB limits number of vertices to 15.

• DRM

  • <Areal Feature>.
    • With or without a <Property Value> to indicate the height above terrain
  • <Union of Primitive Geometry>
    • Classified with appropriate classification code
    • What is appropriate – check the EDCS query tool
  • <Point Feature>
    • With or without <Property Value>to indicate height, width, and orientation
    • With appropriate classification
