standard ORMs
Each standardized ORM is a realization of a standard ORMT
Concept
- ORMT realization bound to a specific object at a specific time
- Intrinsically determines a unique (right-handed) normal embedding
- Name of object, definition, RD components
- Object binding
Standard/registered ORMs
- Label, code, definition, region, epoch, etc.
- Standard ellipsoid RD (if so based)
- Reference transformation(s) specified with respect to the object reference ORM by 7 parameter values:
- origin offset (?x, ?y, ?z)
- axis rotations (?1, ? 2, ? 3)
- scale adjustment ?s
Every spatial object has one reference ORM
- The WGS 84 ORM is the Earth reference ORM
