Vertical offset model (VOM)

• A VOM is a smooth surface defined by a function the embedded position-space of an ORM

• A VOM models a reference surface

  • I.e. Mean sea level, gravity equi-potential surface, etc.

• Example:

  • The geiod for WGS 84 ORM
