API (Application Programmer’s Interface)
- An encapsulation of functionalities common to many applications into reusable modules.
API Implementation
- The instantiation of an API’s functionality in software that is bound to one or more software language.
Transmittal
- Literally - that which is conveyed from one person or place to another (Webster).
- In SEDRIS - the description of a synthetic environment, expressed in terms of the SDRM, that is conveyed from a synthetic environment producer/provider to a synthetic environment consumer.
