Notes:
- While the Windows version of the Side-by-Side Viewer was initially designed for NT support, AcuSoft does plan to support Windows98 and 2000. However, at the time of this presentation, the testing is still in progress.
- A major system requirement of the Side-by-Side is a graphics card with OpenGL acceleration. The Side-by-Side has been successfully used on a variety of NVIDIA boards (RAGE, TNT, TNT2, Geforce, Geforce2). While the newer 3dfx boards (Voodoo4 and 5) support both 3D and 2D, some of their older boards did not. Since the Side-by-Side is a Windows GUI application, it will not be able to take advantage of the 3D acceleration on those boards.
- Whatever the board, we always recommend using the AcuSoft recommended driver or the latest driver.
- More memory and faster CPU are always nice to have.
